Our student workshops are interactive role-playing simulations. Developing political literacy, as well as academic and personal development skills, they are adaptable to your needs.

Could your students run the country better than our actual politicians? This role play simulation enables students to act as the British Cabinet, overseeing a range of decisions, crises and situations that have all been faced by real governments. This workshop enables students to understand the workings of government, as well as debate and discuss current political issues.

Recreate the excitement of a UK election campaign at your school. Have the students learn about the structure and format of elections before having the chance to simulate the experience themselves. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about the policies and beliefs of different political parties and to understand how elections work.

British democracy is built on the back of protest. Spend the day learning about and evaluating different movements, their protest methods and their effectiveness before recreating your own political rally. In this experience, students really get a chance to explore the nature of democracy and how citizens can, and have, participated in it. Be warned, it will get loud!

Running to be President is probably the toughest job interview in the world! Have your students experience the drama, the ups and downs and the key events of the presidential election process by recreating the process in your school. This workshop enables students to go beyond the media coverage of US elections and to understand the complexities and issues.

The US has never been more polarised than ever on political issues: immigration, guns, the environment, LGBTQ rights, abortion, the death penalty and taxation (to name a few). Taking on the role of members of Congress, students will consider the views of different groups as they vote on policy proposals, allowing students to develop knowledge of issues in American politics.

The nine Justices of the US Supreme Court make fundamental decisions which can - and do - impact the United States for years. Acting as the Justices, students will deliver their verdicts on landmark cases. This role-play workshop teaches students about the US Constitution, key debates in US politics and the workings of the Court.

Nuclear weapons, environmental destruction, human rights, war and migration are just some of the challenges facing the UN. Acting as UN Ambassadors to Security Council members, can your students come together to solve the world's problems, or will they fall back on national self-interests? This workshop educates students on the workings of the United Nations, as well as engages them in current global political debates.

The White House Situation Room is where global challenges and crises are managed, with each decision having an impact on political events. Taking on the senior roles of the US administration, students will have to navigate a series of challenges in global politics. This simulation is a fast-paced overview of crisis management with detailed knowledge of American foreign policy.

This workshop enables students to choose an area of policy where a law is needed or where a law needs to be changed. Learning about pressure group politics, students will then campaign for their chosen piece of legislation and see if they can convince others to agree. This workshop provides students with an overview of the legislative process in the UK and how laws are made.
