The State Of The Parties

How are each of the political parties faring in 2016? What are the causes of concern within each of the major UK political parties? How far have aspirations been met and achievements made?

Despite winning the 2015 election, the Conservative Party has seen another leader fall over the issue of Europe; Labour is deeply divided over the new direction of its leadership and the Liberal Democrats have been relegated to electoral oblivion. Moreover, how sustainable is the SNP momentum? Can UKIP ever bridge the divide between its popular support and the UK electoral system and will the Greens be able to win votes with their new leader? All of these are crucial questions at the heart of party politics in Britain.
